DATE CHANGE

The original date for MILESTONE# 4 was on Thursday, March 4. However, upon speaking to numerous parents  and the date I have decided to change it to the following week. Milestone #4 will now be due on Monday, March 7. Remember that Milestone 4 is the actually visual. I will need to see the visual and/or book report that students are working on.

If you were finished and were prepared to bring it in this Thursday; that is fine to and the student will be able to show us what they have been working on. Please be on the look out for the exhibition sign up sheet. Exhibition week is the week of Monday March 14.

THE 100TH DAY OF FIRST GRADE : )

The students had sooo much fun on the 100th day of school. Students created a mask that they were able to wear that day, and also students participated in creating a trail mix for snack. The trail mix consisted of 10 of their choice of : Skittles, Cheez its, Teddy Graham's, M&M's, Marshmallows and some other fun food.

Happy Break/Box Tops

I hope that everybody is enjoying this time to rest and having fun in the LOVELY snow that fell last night   : ) While your at home please make sure that your still collecting those box tops. I'm really starting to notice all the products that they come on. Flour, Capri Sun, and also some diapers. Please continue to collect them and send them in. Thanks!

Valentines Day in our Classroom

Even though I was not their to enjoy the festivities our classroom had a MARVELOUS time decorating bags, passing out valentines, and of course enjoying the lovely treats that freinds brought.

SPRING IS COMING......... MAYBE : )

Parents with the temperature getting a little warmer we will try to venture outside. However, there is still some snow outside, and also with the warmer temperature it has started to melt. With that being students can bring their snow boots to change into when it's recess time. SCHOOL SHOES STILL NEED TO BE WORN THROUGHOUT THE DAY. I try to get the kids outside when the temperature is 32 degrees and above.  Also please make sure students have hats and gloves!

Sweetheart Dance

The first annual sweetheart dance was a success and everybody that attended had A LOT of fun. Students along with their sweetheart enjoyed food, dancing, and socializing with other "couples" It really was a night to remember!

100 Day

Next week on Friday, February 18 we will be celebrating the 100th day of FIRST GRADE!!!!! To start the day we will be making a 100 day snack. Each classroom is donating 1 or 2 snacks so that the children can count 10 pieces of 10 different snacks!  Our class will be contributing fruit loops and goldfish.  If you would like to donate either of these items, please send them in to school by Wednesday, February 16. 

Valentines Day

We will be celebrating Valentines Day on Monday, February 14 from 1:30-2:30. We will be decorating cookies, passing out snacks, and cards between that time. If you would like your child to participate please make sure that they have enough for everybody. Below is a list of the names of the students in our class so that names are spelled right.

Baby Loves SALSA!!!

Our field trip to U of M in Ann Arbor was COMPLETE success. Students were able to enjoy some salsa music from the band "Baby Loves Salsa". The students were able to enjoy the music and the dancing that was allowed during the performance. Everybody had fun. Thank you to Mrs. Bigleow for joining us.

New A.M.P.T Schedule
