NEW VOCABULARY/WEDNESDAY "EXHIBITION WORK DAY"

Today to continue with the celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King the students and I looked at a poem about his message and pulled out some words. The words we looked at were: strive, equality, and honor. We talked about the different meanings of these words and what it means in the poem. I'm sending the poem home today so that you can read it together and maybe talk about it.

REMEMBER..... that today is Wednesday and so there will not be any homework to give you time to work on your exhibitions. It has also been brought to my attention that it is sometimes hard to get the necessary materials that you need to work on the exhibitions. My classroom is also open for you to work on your projects. I will have a bin labeled "exhibition resources". The bin will include children scissors, glue sticks, markers, and crayons.  You may use these to work on your projects and also if need be I will set up an area where you can keep your projects in the building. The computers will also be available for you do either do research and use.
